Wendy

Wendy started her career as a hair stylist when she was 16 on a Youth Training Scheme in Kent, where she also attended Mid Kent College studying hairdressing. This led to a 5 year apprenticeship, and within 2 years Wendy was on the floor with her own clientele and continued to develop in this salon until she was 21.

After a brief spell of working as a mobile stylist Wendy was fortunate to be accepted by Steiner of London, where she initially worked in their London salons, and completed further training in preparation to take on the prestigious position of senior stylist on the QEII, where Wendy's clients included many celebrities.

Wendy also worked on a Caribbean Cruise ship on which she ran the their salon for Steiner. In 1990 Wendy returned to Sussex and worked at Montrose in Eastbourne, and then a year later moved back to Kent and worked in La Tete designer salon for the following two years before leaving to start a family.

Whilst raising a family, Wendy worked from home, retaining many clients, before returning to Eastbourne in 2004 and working in Archers Inc (a 365 salon)in Terminus Road, until in 2006 when Wendy moved to Seaford and took up a position as senior stylist at The Blue Room, where she stayed for 9 years.

In April 2015 Wendy was delighted to have the opportunity to take over the hair salon at East Dean, which is now known as “Divine of East Dean”. This has proved to be a great success and Wendy, along with her daughter Mary, has thoroughly enjoyed developing a beautiful salon which has established itself to be a friendly, relaxed and lovely environment which is able to take care of any customer requirements.
